Gözde DOĞRU

I graduated third in my class from the Physics Department at Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University, where I completed my bachelor’s thesis on the statistical distribution of exoplanets. I pursued my studies in English throughout my undergraduate and graduate programs. My passion for exoplanet research continued, culminating in an MSc in Astrophysics, during which I focused on atmospheric escape in exoplanetary systems, at the same university. I am currently in Oxford, preparing for the IELTS exam and planning to pursue a PhD in Astrophysics. During my graduate studies, I collaborated with Assist. Prof. Dr. Tansu Daylan (Washington University St. Louis) and Prof. Dr. Abdulkadir Şenol (Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University). I am also a member of Assist. Prof. Dr. Tansu Daylan’s research group, gaining hands-on experience in exoplanet studies and related observational techniques. My research interests include exoplanets, atmospheric escape in exoplanetary systems, XUV observations, and astronomical data analytics. I am proficient in Python for catalog cross-matching and data analysis. I founded the Physics and Astronomy Student Club to promote scientific engagement and encourage students to participate in academic events. I have attended and presented in numerous scientific conferences, participated in various events as an attendee, and organized several academic and outreach activities. I have also taken part in personal development courses to enhance my professional skills. Additionally, I have served as a YouTube moderator for astronomy- and space-themed broadcasts, facilitating audience interaction and discussions. Beyond my academic work, I have a background in amateur theatre, technical drawing, and competitive volleyball. I enjoy spending time in nature, camping, and exploring new cultures. I also contribute as a blog writer, sharing articles on astronomy, astrophysics, and science communication to make complex topics accessible and engaging to a broader audience.
